For years we read about how art was a lifestyle for all former artists and how some, in romanticism and other currents, spoke about art being the only way they knew how to live.
For some people art has the effect of a narcotic, which means that the act of creating makes you experiment a state of mind which later becomes quite necessary.
It has happened, and also to me, that certain moments of life seem dull until you renarrate your own internal view of that moment of life through art. It is as if the act of creating creates an internal view of life which makes it no longer seem dull.
In the end I can only fall back into the existentialist maxima, which states that we must:
"Aesthesize life as a means of justifying our existence"
